AQ Dragon slayer

I googled some Walkhroughs for AQ and found one on how to become a dragon slayer, following it now.

Adventure Quest 2

Playing AQ again, still find it weird with no BG music so I always seem to have a youtube open which I suppose gives a small advantage of being able to choose what songs are playing.

I'm at level 8 and still playing while Shumel is at level 25 and rubbing it in. -.-

Adventure Quest

Played AQ for one hour and at level 4.

Initial impressions are the graphics are smooth but not perfect the designs are pretty good but then they start moving and it looks terrible as most animations look jerky save for a few.

I was disappointed by the lack of music as it only has a few jingles and sound effects so I found my self usually playing with youtube open playing music.

LOOOONG overdue update

blogger wasnt working for me on the macs for a few days and after a while i forgot about it completely but now heres a very overdue update.

1-Had a session with some Norwegian students (Alf, he's cool :D) and learned about cinema's and films over there. He also gave us some feed back on our idea for our trailer and says that he he (and Elaine who found our idea interesting too) would love to see the trailer when its complete.

2-Waheed drew up a story board of our idea and I looked over it and made a few edits and added some intertextual references to Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo which is what gave us the idea to make a psychological thriller and Shumel was looking for some Phillip Glass Tracks we could use.

3-we have our idea for our shots and who to do them, all we need to do now is cast a few people and decide when to film it.

The Matrix Reloaded

The reason I chose this trailer over the other two Matrix film trailers was because this one was alot more action packed than the other two.

This is because it had alot of hype to live up to from the success of the first film (which the trailer for was very enigmatic as its aim was to hook the audience) and so the majority of the trailer was made up of scenes from the famous highway chase sequence along with various clips of Neo fighting the Agents.

The third movie trailer was alot more story focused as it was the conclusion to the trilogy and the only major action sequence was a few very brief clips from the big fight at the end between Neo and Agent Smith.

The Dark Knight Trailer Analysis

The trailer starts with clips of The Batman. The clips are calm with a steady heart beat playing. The Joker narrates the trailer describing The Batman and what he's done. The heart beat begins to speed up then suddenly stops at a scene of The Joker standing still and saying that The Batman should be more "Like me..." Suddenly there is an explosion behind him. After this part of the trailer it show's the clips it showed earlier that were calm suddenly break into chaos.

This gives the audience a sense of the film and the characters (Batman = Order, Joker = Chaos)

Also in this trailer, as the heart beat speed's up so does the pace of the cuts and edit's until finally the beat stops at the scene with The Joker. This creates as sense of urgency and desperation and as we associate the heart beat's sudden halt with death the audience will associate The Joker with death.
